It's the end of the world...

Well, maybe not! Seems to me the Mayans were wrong - so let's move on!
The holidays are upon us and Tom has finished his last day of work for the year...
This will most likely be my last posting of the year so I decided to take a quick look back...

I am stealing an idea from David Letterman and I am going to give you our Top 10 of 2012:

10 - Eating, drinking and being Italian in 2012
A year of amazing meals, great drinks and the general insanity of Italy - just fun!

9 - A great garden and the fruits of our labors
This year was a great year for our garden - not only did we get great tomatoes & peppers for enjoying in sauce...we also got lemons & basil for the making of our homemade lemoncello & liquor di basilico...

8 - Getting to see the Pope
At the Piazza di Spagna on the day of the Immaculate Conception, Pope Benedict XVI came to give a prayer...and the crowds came out...

7 - Snow in Rome?
It's true - after 20 years...Rome gets snow (we still think it followed us)...

6 - Cooking Italian with Diane Seed
As an amazing gift from Tom we learned some true Italian cooking from wonderful chef and now friend Diane Seed...

5 - My niece Lisa gets married
My niece Lisa and her wonderful man Steve were married this year - we were fortunate enough to travel back for this great day! And as with all family weddings the day had the 3-C's... Ava was Cute, Gene the father of the bride was Crazy and the loving couple had Cake!

4 - Our beautiful trip to Puglia
Ahhh Puglia, the boot of the heel of Italy. We had a great week traveling in Puglia to Lecce, Galipoli, Alberobello and Ortranto...

3 - Amazing visitors to the
Barrington Resort & Spa Europe 2012
During 2012 we were blessed by having many friends and family visit us in our adopted city. We definitely had a great time and hope they did too...

2 - Tom hits a half century
My husband turned 50 in January - we had a wonderful trip to NYC and many amazing dinners. The birthday itself was held at Knickerbockers down by where Tom used to live in the city... We celebrated with many good friends and had a wonderful time!

1 - Our vacation and my birthday trip to Sicilia
This is number 1 for many reasons -
    - We got a chance to visit the towns where my paternal grandparents lived.
    - Tom made my birthday and the entire trip one of the most amazing weeks of my life.
    - Sicily was just beautiful and the food was some of the best we've ever had.

Tom, Santa & I at Piazza Navona!

To end this posting we want to wish all our friends and family a Happy, Healthy and Safe Holiday Season and Joyous New Year! Buon Natale e Felice Anno Nuovo!

We will be speaking to everybody in 2013 -
Abbracci a tutti!
Ciao for now!
Love always...
Ron & Tom

And we will end this post and this year with a our wish for all of you:
