Ok, back to posting the blog before it gets too far ahead of me!
Our first long-term guests (Rob & Angi - friends from Richmond) just departed back to the US and now I have to get back to work catching up on the fabulous July we had...
On the home front everything is wonderful! Tom & I are looking forward to our trip to Symi Greece with Diane Seed, James and Greg - at the end of this week!
Now lets get started with July Part 3...
After the amazing Royal Caribbean Allure cruise with the Gale Family...I headed back to NY with some of the family and spent time at James & Greg's (Thank you again very much). It was a wonderful time - I got to spend time with my Mom & Dad, got to see Ava, Jake, Aunt Helen & Uncle John and had a wonderful visiting with old friends on Long Island (and Fire Island). I even had the chance to take a quick trip to NJ and visit with my BFF (Best Female Friend) - Joanne...

One day Greg and I took the opportunity to ferry over to Fire Island and visit an old stomping ground...Cherry Grove. Here are just a few photos of that day:

Also while at home on Long Island we had a lovely lunch over John's house and some of us even took part in the pool he has at his house! (Thank you John for a beautiful day and the chance to see Homer and Hunter again).

It was a great day and lovely lunch with friends, cocktails and sunshine!
After this wonderful weekend - now it was just waiting for Tom to join us in NY. He spent a few days visiting with his Mom in Richmond and accepting the US half of our split-ship goods from Rome. Tom then drove up from Richmond to NY - YIPPY!

Next on the plate is my 50th Birthday! Woohoo!
As not to take all the spotlight - we also were celebrating James & Greg's 20th Anniversary - which made the trip and the day even more special!
First and Foremost, I have to THANK Tom for everything - his love and for being who he is! He made a special day for me totally amazing! I was lucky to have many great friends around me - James, Greg, Stuart, Tabitha, Angi, Rob, George, Stephen, Suzanne, Annette, George, Andy and Michael!
Many things were going on - friends from Richmond came up for the day, Tom hired a car to take us all to spectacular places - all having special meaning to me/us! After picking up our friends at the train we went into the city - starting with a drink at Gramercy Tavern, then dinner at
DBGB and then a night-cap at the
MoBar at the Mandarin Oriental! Amazing, amazing, amazing day and evening!
I couldn't pick a favorite moment if I tried - it was all WONDERFUL!
I guess the best way to show you my birthday is to just show you my birthday...

Not really sure what more I can add...it was a fantastic day filled with good friends and great times!
